Good news, batch processing has nothing to do with operating systems! Computerized batch processing is the running of "jobs that can run without end user interaction, or can be scheduled to run as resources permit."(source)
Batch processing are jobs which run without any input. For example, at the end of every day, our principal might receive an automatic report on all the students who were absent.
